I was responsible for specification, prototyping and implementation of a new Angular-based web client for Miljødirektoratet’s Forurensning system.

Forurensning was a case-management tool used by regional authorities and Miljødirektoratet across several environmental domains, including aquaculture, waste, wastewater, CO2 compensation, landfills and quotas. The application was originally built in WinForms, and the project created a modern web client as a precursor to Tilde.

Role and contribution

  • Responsible for specification and prototyping of the new web client.
  • Close collaboration with technical staff and domain experts at Miljødirektoratet.
  • Implemented the front end in Angular 7 with TypeScript, Bootstrap and Angular Material.
  • Connected the web client to the existing backend through REST APIs.
  • Test setup with Jasmine and Protractor.
  • Used Adobe Experience Design and Google Analytics when working on user experience and insight.
